Think about it: Peter is telling us in this verse that we are part of a family. How do you enter this family? You are called (John 6:44-65; Hebrews 3:1). This scripture shows us how valuable every member is to God. When we choose to believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior, we become His chosen. He dwells among us, shelters us, carries us in His arms, holds us in His hands and sits us at His feet (Deut. 33:3, 12, 27; Isaiah 49:16).

WE are positioned just where He wants us. Our Heavenly Father may not always answer our prayers, but He always offers His presence. This should motivate us to share His goodness with others.
